Myth Buster – Using oil and other hair products can “cure” split ends!

Using oil and other hair products CANNOT  “cure” split ends!

No amount of conditioner, hair oil or hair cream can magically pair your split ends back together. Applying these moisturizing treatments on your hair will definitely reduce risk of split ends to some extent.

But once your hair splits the only REAL CURE for a split end is a good ol’ haircut or at the very least trimming of your hair.

Other techniques like Brazilian Candle Burning (which seriously sounds scary to me) also are effective on split ends. Some permanent treatments (which involve a lot of chemicals) such as rebonding, smoothening and keratin treatments are also helpful but they alter the natural bonding of your hair.
