This is a common issue which is faced by most of the folks from teenagers to our grandmothers.

Being sleep deprived is very common in our generation.

An average adult needs to sleep for good 6-8 hours and that too at a certain timing which is in the span to 10-1 and get off bed.

There are few things you need to do to put your sleep in check.

 

  • Workout- Regular workout helps you to sleep easily. When you workout, your body becomes tired and you will go to bed a little earlier than before.

  • Stress- Stress is the most common issue which is faced by everyone. It is the culprit you are staying in your bed awake. Don’t stress about everything. Have good thoughts before you sleep and whatever the day is, be grateful for what all positive has happened and keep going forward.

  • Stay off that phone- We are all slaves to our phones. We are so tied up to phones that we don’t realize how it affects our life. Phones strain our eyes way too much that we find it difficult to sleep immediately after we get off the phone.

  • Schedule- Set your timetable such that you go to bed every day at the same time. In such cases, you will fall back asleep as it will be a part of our routine.

  • Sounds- This is weirdly satisfying feeling. Listen to the sound of waves or of ocean. It will help soothe your mind and release your stresses for a minute and help you sleep.

  • Lavender oil- Spray some lavender oil or rub some of it on your pillow cover which helps you maintain your peace in mind and lets you sleep in peace and at quicker pace.

So, these are some of the methods you need to follow, if you are lacking the ability to sleep.

Try to get an 8 hour sleep everyday such that you can wake up afresh the next day morning and you can be more productive if you have slept to your heart’s content.

Once you make your sleep routine a habit, it will no longer be a problem for you.
